Q - Do you need any experience of falconry to participate fully in an experience day with Flying High Falconry.
A - Absolutely not. I cannot remember a single one of our guests who had previous experience, we will show you exactly what do to and will be close by at all times of the day.
Q - What happens if the weather is bad and we cannot fly on the day.
A - Sadly the weather in Britain is completely unpredictable. I will contact you about a week before your day and discuss with you the full details of the day and advise you to watch the weather forecasts, if the weather looks “grim” I will call you the night before to confirm exactly what we intend to do. If the day is cancelled we will simply rearrange the day - you will get your day with us.
Q - Can I book a days experience for a child.
A - This is a very active day out in the country and it can be very cold so we have set a lower age limit of twelve years for any youngster attending.
Q - Are many animals or birds killed on an experience day.
A - Unlike shooting falconers actually kill very little. This is a natural contest between predator and prey and I can honestly say that “most prey species actually escape”. However you should be aware that our birds do kill and you should be prepared for this.
Q - I am booking for a birthday present, do I have to book a specific day.
A - No, when you are ready you can book ahead at a date which is appropriate. Remember to book as soon after receiving our gift voucher as possible as our date soon get filled.
